font-size: 12pt;\">Since the beginning of the revolution, the Syrian regime has confronted peaceful protesters with live ammunition, targeting the peaceful movement with arrests, torture, and physical elimination of activists. The regime shifted to a systematic plan to target and bomb civilian residential areas, which were devoid of combatants, in an effort to deprive them of their supportive environment. It also deliberately and intentionally bombed field hospitals, media centers, and bakeries.
