ورشة National Unity and Criminalization of Sectarianism The Committee condemns and denounces the actions of the ruling authority, which is dragging the country into a civil war to avoid facing just courts for the crimes and thefts it has committed against the people and the nation.
Targeting civilians anywhere in Syria is unacceptable and condemned. We also call on the youth of the revolution By refraining from vengeance and targeting civilians in the Alawite mountains. And the neighboring villages and other Syrian cities. Human rights laws and Islamic Sharia do not permit targeting civilians on the grounds of being supporters or opponents. Allah, the Exalted, says: "No soul shall bear the burden of another." (Surah Fatir, 35:18). And He, the Almighty, also says: "And let not the hatred of a people prevent you from being just. Be just; that is nearer to righteousness." (Surah Al-Ma’idah, 5:8).
And in order to avoid the civil conflicts that the regime seeks to instigate. We call on the Alawite community to take a collective, national, and public stance. From the ruling mafia, the interests and existence of the Syrian Alawites derive their legitimacy from history, the constitution, and civilized institutions. It is Syria of justice and civilization, not Syria of enslavement.
Since the beginning of the revolution, the Syrian regime has confronted peaceful protesters with live ammunition, targeting the peaceful movement with arrests, torture, and physical elimination of activists. The regime shifted to a systematic plan to target and bomb civilian residential areas, which were devoid of combatants, in an effort to deprive them of their supportive environment. It also deliberately and intentionally bombed field hospitals, media centers, and bakeries. As a result, tens of thousands of Syrians have fallen victim to these repeated massacres.
The horrific bloodshed massacres committed by the regime have pushed Armed gangs supported by the forces of the regular army The United Nations organizations have condemned these massacres and classified them as war crimes, confirming that groups and regular forces have been responsible for the killings of unarmed civilians, and for targeting women and children fleeing from the barrage of killing and destruction. The Houla massacre is just one of those horrific massacres, and the international monitoring committee, led by Robert Mood, confirmed that the perpetrators of the massacre were elements loyal to the regime.
What the regime is doing is a malicious, systematic plan to drag Syrians into sectarian conflict, targeting national unity in an attempt to portray the glorious Syrian revolution as a civil war. This will not deceive the revolutionaries, and the revolution for freedom and dignity must remain free from hatred, vengeance, and violations of human rights.
And victory to the glorious Syrian revolution, and eternal glory to the martyrs of Syria, the righteous.
