The Committee for the Criminalization of Sectarianism and Safeguarding National Unity calls on the Arab world and the international community to support the Syrian people.

National Unity and Criminalization of Sectarianism Committee The Committee condemns the horrific massacres committed by the Assad regime in noble Syria, particularly today’s brutal massacre in Homs, on February 8, 2012.

It confirms that الإخفاق في إدانة النظام الأسدي، Imposing strong sanctions on it at the Security Council, and earlier by the Arab League, provided cover for the regime and gave it a green light to kill the Syrian people.

The National Unity and Criminalization of Sectarianism Committee reminds that the United States invaded Iraq and overthrew its regime without a UN resolution, despite the global opposition to the invasion, with only a few rare exceptions.

We do not call for repeating the Iraqi scenario; however, we ask: What prevents the world from providing humanitarian and relief support to the Syrian people, who are subjected to a war of starvation and humiliation by the regime, in addition to killing, repression, and torture? What prevents supporting the defectors from the Assad army who protect civilians with weapons and supplies?

The Syrian people need food, medicine, and weapons more than they need statements of support, condemnation, or sympathy.

The National Unity and Criminalization of Sectarianism Committee calls on the Arab world and the international community to support the Syrian people, the spearhead resisting the Iranian and Zionist project that is hostile to Arabs and humanity.
